The Darkangel, a vampire of astounding beauty and youth, can only summon his full power when he finds his 14th and final bride. But for Aeriel, whom he kidnaps to serve his brides, there is something about him something beyond his obvious evil that makes her want to save him rather than destroy him.

    Comments about The Darkangel:

I picked this up years ago in a school library (collecting dust) and loved it. I was delighted to find it recently, still available - and actually better than I'd remembered it. Published long before the current spate of vampire fantasies, I love the message that love and compassion can achieve what hatred and despair cannot. And it's beautifully written, like an old fairy tale: it's a delight when you realize that "duarough" is "dwarf" - but the language is never ponderous. The plot moves lightly and logically forward and the novel reaches a pleasing conclusion - whilst leaving you hoping that the sequel is still available too!

      Comments about The Darkangel:

I have lost count of the times I've read this trilogy. It is wonderful no matter your age, characters come to life. Great as a gift for a younger, new to adventure books kind of read, or just to read and chill out on holiday. Escape into the fantasy world of Aerial's.
