Comments about The Ask and the Answer:
The second in the Chaos Walking series, this book doesn't disappoint. You should read the first book (The Knife of Never Letting Go) before this one to gain an in-depth understanding of the characters and their motivation. A little difficult to get into, but please persist...this series is worth it! Set in a futuristic world other than earth with an almost Amish feel, it is all about the struggle for power and the efforts of two young teens to thwart a power-hungry leader, yet it is about so much more than this! Give the Chaos Walking series a try...I really enjoyed it!
I think you'll just have to trust me when I say that this book is worth reading. It's grim, yes, but so well written that it's acceptable. I would recommend this to all teenagers. I don't care about your book preferences. This is worth a read, I promise. Five stars - I couldn't give it less. The Guardian Online
