Booktopia Comments

An absolutely gorgeous edition of this very famous and bestselling book. The padded cover is beautiful to touch and the board book pages are sturdy and ready to test the strength of any young child. The pictures, as always, are beautifully depicted and cover the major races of people on the planet, making this book suitable for all to read and enjoy. Perfect for 1 to 3 year olds.

Book Description

As everyone knows, nothing is sweeter than tiny baby fingers and chubby baby toes. . . . And here, from two of the most gifted picture-book creators of our time, is a celebration of baby fingers, baby toes, and the joy they—and the babies they belong to—bring to everyone, everywhere, all over the world!

This is a gorgeously simple picture book for very young children, and once you finish the rhythmic, rhyming text, all you’ll want to do is go back to the beginning . . . and read it again! The luminous watercolor illustrations of these roly-poly little ones from a variety of backgrounds are adorable, quirky, and true to life, right down to the wrinkles, dimples, and pudges in their completely squishable arms, legs, and tummies.

Comments about Ten Little Fingers and Ten Little Toes:

Mem Fox has done it again with this beautiful book for babies and toddlers. It starts the message early 'We are all the same, no matter where we come from.' Babies love looking at the babies, and toddlers love naming the things in the pictures 'swinging' 'chook'.
The rhyme and rhythm of this lovely little story make it perfect for babies and toddlers.

Perfect for reading to young children, counting their fingers and toes, and your own as part of the experience. Have a look to see whether favourite teddy/toy has fingers or toes.

Excellent children's book, my older 2 grandchildren loved it when they were little and now my 3rd grandchild will have the joy of reading this fabulous book for his 1st birthday. Children just love the way the book rhymes and the repetition.
