About The Author

Eckhart Tolle was born in Germany, where he spent the first thirteen years of his life. After graduating from the University of London, he was a research scholar and supervisor at Cambridge University. When he was twenty-nine, a profound spiritual transformation virtually dissolved his old identity and radically changed the course of his life. After spending many years devoted to understanding, integrating and deepening that transformation, he has spent the last ten working as a counsellor and spiritual teacher, working with individuals and small groups in Europe and North America. He has lived in Vancouver, British Columbia, since 1996.

Praise for THE POWER OF NOW: 'It's a reminder to be truly present in our own lives and liberated from our past and future. It can transform your thinking. The result? More joy, right now.' [Oprah]'One of the best books to come along in years. Every sentence rings with truth and power.' [Deepak Chopra]'Pointing to the portals of the eternal Present, this practical mystic's modern gospel offers transcendent truths that set us free.' [Dan Millman, author of Everyday Enlightenment]
