Stand Tall Back Cover Description
There will always be people who try to make others feel small. If it happens to you, you have a choice: you can fight back or you can Stand Tall.
To rise above what others say about you or would have you believe about yourself is to step into self-empowerment. Stand Tall is about growing the courage to rise above and stand out with dignity.
There is no one anywhere quite like you…Stand Tall and believe in yourself!
Stand Tall is the ideal book to share with children to generate self-esteem building strategies. Stand Tall is also a must-read book for children facing bulling, exclusion or interpersonal conflicts.
Praise For Stand Tall
“Stand Tall is a wonderful ‘sit down and read it together’ book. It is full of insight and sure to bring thought provoking discussions for all who read it! A great book for home and the classroom.” Libby Logan Perez, Parent, Educator, and School Librarian
“I have never seen my students so attentive and quiet! They loved the story and the pictures. All the children related well to feeling different, unwelcome, and unaccepted at some time in their lives.” Jaleh Oboudiyat, Primary School Scripture Teacher
“Stand Tall supports personal development units taught in schools and delivers the messages: ‘It’s O.K. to be different’ and ‘everyone is special’.” Susan Dwyer, Primary School Teacher
Stand Tall As A Classroom Resource
Stand Tall has been accepted as an official resource for compassionate education at the 2008 Seeds of Compassion Conference with over 70,000 participants in Seattle, Washington, USA featuring His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
