A complete program for caring and interacting with your baby aged 0-2 years, particularly focusing on sleep, play, communication and routine, by the original Australian 'baby whisperer' and early childhood expert.

Sheyne Rowley's babies are the happiest babies in Australia - they sleep, eat and play in a routine that Sheyne, an expert in baby care and sleep issues, has helped their parents develop just for them. Now, after years of working closely with thousands of families, Sheyne shares her comprehensive approach to parenting, which is based on the premise that children need guidance as well as love and care. Sheyne's method addresses the five keys to happy children and parents: routine, communication, independence, environment and management. Detailed and comprehensive, this is a complete bible with solutions for every parent and child.

About The Author

Having loved, cared for and understood babies since her little sister was born when she was nine, Sheyne Rowley went on to study Early Childhood Development, and has a Diploma in Social Science. From there she became Chief Program Coordinator in the 0-2 room at the ABC TV childcare centre, before moving to the UK. There, Sheyne started working with families with multiple births, and it was here that she discovered that children behave quite differently in their own homes, and that it is their home life, routines and family experiences that shape their behaviour. After returning to Australia, Sheyne eventually set up her Sleep Baby Sleep Service and seven years later she cannot keep up with demand.

Comments about Sheyne Rowley's Dream Baby Guide:

Clearly author wishes you to buy book and read without tabulating routines. I suppose in a bid to force people to buy rather than glance at relevant sections. Far too much flipping between pages required.

Comments about Sheyne Rowley's Dream Baby Guide:

This book covers everything you need to know when you have a baby. Although it is essentially for babies from 6 months to two years, I would defiantly recommend you read this book before you have the baby. Firstly because it is quite a thick book and you will probably find it difficult to find the time to read it after you have a baby, and secondly because there is lots of information that you can use from birth. I was lucky enough to have Sheyne personally help me with my second son and her wisdom was a lifesaver and this book is just as good as the real thing! I cannot recommend this book enough.

Comments about Sheyne Rowley's Dream Baby Guide:

Hospitals should give this book to all parents as they leave to take their beautiful bubs home.
After months of difficult nights I bought this book on a recommendation from a fellow teacher.
As a primary school teacher & yoga teacher i love the approach to helping my baby grow up happy and healthy.
If your are thinking about buying any parenting book, this one is a must.

Comments about Sheyne Rowley's Dream Baby Guide:

Very helpful and informative for those who are sleep deprived and needing help with their baby who has trouble going to sleep and/or staying asleep.

The only down side is trying to find the time to read it cover to cover when you already have a baby and you are both tired, as it is quite a thick book (over 750 pages!) Ideally you should read this BEFORE you have a baby, but I managed to extract the information I needed and it helped while still in my sleep-deprived state. We both sleep much better now.
