Some scars never heal... An addictive and haunting thriller from award-winning author Gillian Flynn.

When two girls are abducted and killed in Missouri, journalist Camille Preaker is sent back to her home town to report on the crimes.

Long-haunted by a childhood tragedy and estranged from her mother for years, Camille suddenly finds herself installed once again in her family's mansion, reacquainting herself with her distant mother and the half-sister she barely knows - a precocious 13-year-old who holds a disquieting grip on the town.

As Camille works to uncover the truth about these violent crimes, she finds herself identifying with the young victims - a bit too strongly. Clues keep leading to dead ends, forcing Camille to unravel the psychological puzzle of her own past to get at the story. Dogged by her own demons, Camille will have to confront what happened to her years before if she wants to survive this homecoming.

Comments about Sharp Objects : A Novel:

Any one that read and enjoyed gone girl will love this one too.Its raw and gritty with disfunctional characters you love to despise but are strangely compelling. This author is definitely on my radar carnt wait to see if she writes more books. You might think you can guess the end but you never will.Hated to put this one down to go to work or feed the kids.If you want fairytale happy endings you may be disappointed but thats what makes it so interesting.

Comments about Sharp Objects : A Novel:

This was an absolute ripper of a suspense novel, engaging title character and a creepy but realistic cast of others. Gillian Flynn is extraordinary in her depictions of human frailties and afflictions. This book takes you down into a dark world and will linger long after you have finished the last page.

This is a dark, women based psychological thriller with a gothic element. Very unstable, but fascinating characters and a story you won't soon forget.
