Born a wraith, Lily is a shadow who slips between worlds. Brought up by a Blood Lord and raised to be his assassin, she is little more than a slave. Comments about Shadow Kin:

There is so much potential here, but it just doesn't quite get there. Great world building, fairly ordinary, but acceptable story. As much as I liked the characters surface personas though, that's all I got. There was nothing compelling about any of them and the same was true for the plot. Either would have worked if the other had had more zing, but with neither compelling characters or driving storyline, by three quarters through I just lost interest. Sorry to be a downer.

          Comments about Shadow Kin:

Wow! The City inhabitants are vampires, werewolves, the Fae and humans - and the truce that keeps the peace is fragile. The uncrowned king of the vampires is reaching for greater power and sends his assassin, a wraith called Lily, to murder the sunmage who is the only person strong enough to counter him. Exciting, sexy, surprising - for all who enjoy the "dark" genre. Look for the sequel, too!
