Marsden wickedly crafts extremely sexy, graphic scenes that still manage to move the storyline along. Perhaps the trick lies in creating fully developed characters, ones that are multi-dimensional, flawed and still wholly appealing. Watching Tuesday run from her past and fall into a sort of rabbit hole of a present makes her trek to find her way to a new life so much more fulfilling than just a "steamy read". Tuesday fights the desire to have those connections she craves and despises - ranting her fears and frustrations to the comforting presence of her recently passed grandmother's home - as if it's spirit can help heal her own broken one. What seems like it should be a straight up sultry erotic romance actually proves to be so much more and this reader was impressed with the range of emotions evoked in the course of Tuesday's journey to find love...and herself. The scenes are varied and creative. They're super steamy with an intense build-up of sexual tension leading to a few scenes late in the story with heavier BDSM elements.
