Book Description

Gideon Cross. As beautiful and flawless on the outside as he was damaged and tormented on the inside. He was a bright, scorching flame that singed me with the darkest of pleasures. I couldn't stay away. I didn't want to. He was my addiction . . . my every desire . . . mine.

My past was as violent as his, and I was just as broken. We'd never work. It was too hard, too painful . . . except when it was perfect. Those moments when the driving hunger and desperate love were the most exquisite insanity.

We were bound by our need. And our passion would take us beyond our limits to the sweetest, sharpest edge of obsession . . .

I am really looking forward to the third book of the trilogy. The suspense from the first book and the curiousity how it will end makes it a pageturner
the erotic and lovers' stories are intruiging as well as the circumstances and the daily life problems ofthe characters. Some mysteries are not solved in one book, so one HAS to read the following book, since one needs explenation. I am so waiting for some puzzles solved from this book, which is even more dramatic than the first. Someone wrote:I dislike Gideon in the 2.book. Not me! He is so smart for his woman, although he has to be cruel for a time. but that's for the rescue of their love in the end (of the third book) hopefully!Stunningly clever!!

So far I have been disappointed in the titles rushed to publication on the coat tails of Fifty Shades of Grey incredible success and I confess that I expected I would read a few pages of Reflected in You and then set it aside. Instead I was surprised to find myself caught up in the relationship between Eva and Gideon as they try to build a life together. While their mutual attraction is never in doubt, Eva and Gideon are finding that reconciling their emotional needs is much more difficult.

There isn't nearly as much sex as I expected in Reflected In You, instead the focus is on the couple's attempts to connect in ways that are not exclusively sexual and establish trust and honesty in their relationship. As both Eva and Gideon have major issues stemming from the abuse they endured as children neither trusts easily and true intimacy is something they need to work at developing. Unfortunately their pasts seem intent on sabotaging their attempts with Gideon's scheming ex lover causing trouble and Eva's abuser making a shocking reappearance.
While the relationship between Eva and Gideon is not exactly healthy, clouded as it is by lust and obsession, it's a surprisingly equal partnership. I had expected more of a master/slave scenario both sexually and in their everyday interactions but that was not the case.

Perhaps what I found most surprising about Reflected In You was the quality of writing, Day's experience as an accomplished author is evident. There is a lot of angst, contrived misunderstandings and melodrama but there is also a genuine portrayal of passion, affection and intimacy.

I haven't read Bared to You, the first installment in the Crossfire trilogy, so I came into this storyline without any knowledge of the characters but I found this didn't really matter. Reflected in You is a surprisingly engaging read and I think that readers who have been reluctant to embrace the mainstream erotica trend should sample the Crosssfire series before dismissing the entire genre.

Eva and Gideon ... make Bared to You richer and more real to me than many of the contemporary books I've read in a while Romance Junkies I became so attached to Eva and Gideon that I actually hurt for them. I shared their pain and their joy as they fought to keep each other Joyfully Reviewed If I were to recommend any book today to readers who enjoyed Fifty Shades of Grey ... [Bared to You] would be the first one I would offer Dear Author

'Let go, Gideon.' I caught his wrists to pull his hands away.

He buried his face in my neck, obstinately holding on. 'We'll get there. Okay? Just— We'll get there.'

I deflated, feeling little of the triumph I had hoped to feel when I'd first asked and anticipated his an...swer.

'Can we give it a rest tonight?' he asked gruffly, still clinging tight. 'Give it all a rest? I just want to chill with you, all right? Order something in for dinner, watch TV, hold you when I sleep. Can we do that?'

Realizing something was seriously off, I twisted to face him. 'What's wrong?'

'I just want some time with you.'

My eyes stung with tears. There was more he wasn't telling me, so much more. Our relationship was swiftly becoming a minefield of words left unsaid and secrets not shared. 'Okay.'

'I need it, Eva. You and me with no drama.' His fingertips brushed across my cheek. 'Give me that. Please. Then give me a kiss.'

I turned around, straddling his hips. Cupping his face in my hands, I angled my head to find the perfect approach and pressed my lips to his. I started out soft and slow, licking and suckling. I tugged on his bottom lip; then coaxed him to forget our problems with teasing strokes of my tongue along his.

'Kiss me, damn it,' he growled, his hands bracketing my spine and kneading restlessly. 'Kiss me like you love me.'

'I do,' I promised, breathing the words into him. 'I can't help it.'
