Katie Malone and her twin boys’ trip along the beautiful mountain roads to Virgin River is stopped short by a tire as flat as her failed romance. To make matters worse, the rain has set in, the boys are hungry and Katie doesn’t have the first clue about putting on a spare. As she stands at the side of the road pondering her next move, she hears a distinct rumble. The sight of the sexy, leather-clad bikers who pull up beside her puts her imagination into overdrive.

Dylan Childress and his buddies are on the motorcycle trip of a lifetime. But the site of a woman in distress stops them in their tracks. And while the guys are checking out her car, she and Dylan are checking out one another.

In one brief moment, the world tilts on its axis and any previous plans Katie and Dylan might have had for their futures are left at the side of the road.

About The Author

"A fellow writer asked me, 'Who is your villain?' And I realized that in the work I do, I don't have villains — I have issues. And that's exactly why women's fiction knows no limits," says author Robyn Carr. "I'm naturally drawn to strong, capable female characters, and when I begin a story I ask myself, 'What is she up against?' I try to write about issues that every woman faces at some point in her life, without ever losing sight of the basic sense of humor that helps us all through hard times."

      Comments about Redwood Bend:

I have read all the books so far in this series, and my only wish is for more, the characters grow up and grow older, they have children, the stories are endless. Robyn Carr has the gift, she is a story teller. Be sure to start with "Virgin River".

      Robyn Carr

Now that Robyn Carr has earned the #1 slot on the New York Times list, the creator of the wildly popular Virgin River series laughs when someone refers to her as an overnight success.

“The truth is, I was first published in 1978, and it took me thirty years to make it to The New York Times Bestseller List,” she pointed out. But once Robyn became that popular, she stayed that popular. And when Bring Me Home for Christmas , the 16th Virgin River novel, was released in November 2011, it debuted in the #1 slot not just on the New York Times roster, but also on the Barnes & Noble, and Publishers Weekly lists as well. Robyn’s 2012 holiday story, My Kind of Christmas, scored two weeks in the #1 slot on the New York Times bestselling books list.

Fortunately for Robyn and her many fans, she spent much of 2012 doing what she loves best, writing. As a result, her 2013 publishing schedule introduces a brand new series—Thunder Point—set in a picturesque coastal community on the Oregon coast. Like her Virgin River novels the Thunder Point books will make readers laugh, sigh, and fall in love with a small town filled with people they’ll never forget. The Wanderer is an April book; The Newcomer, July, and The Hero, September.

Robyn and her husband enjoy traveling, often taking research trips together. Their son and daughter are grown. Robyn says that, in addition to reading her novels and making snide remarks about how she’s used family scenarios to her advantage, they have made her a happy grandmother.
