About the Author
Peter O’Malley, a 1956 graduate and longtime supporter of Xaverian education at Saint John’s, passed away unexpectedly May 27 at his home in Delaware.
Last year, he and his wife Jan created an endowed scholarship fund for the Thomas Merton Award, to be presented annually to a Saint John’s senior who demonstrates faith, service and a commitment to improving the quality of student life at Saint John’s, in the spirit of the Trappist monk and spiritual writer Thomas Merton.
