      This was a gift and I would not have bought it otherwise but I was impressed. It is very long but it had me engaged throughout. Ponting has good recollections of many of the matches and situations that he encountered in his career; he also is not afraid to offer comment/criticism of his actions and those of his peers and colleagues. There is some bitterness in some of his recollections but he is an emotional and passionate character so I wasn't surprised that his bitterness remains; that is Ponting and I would have expected this. I personally was not a fan of Ponting as a potential captain of the Australian Cricket Team but as he has aged and matured, he has developed as an individual and I like what I now see on TV and when his opinion is sought. One cannot doubt his ability as a player; the records at the end of the book are detailed and comprehensive and extremely impressive. This was definitely worth a read.
