Comments about Once and Then:
I grew up before MG was writing so this is the first time I have read any of his work. I bought this for a friend's son but wanted to read it beforehand.
The language is deceptively simple but the story zooms along and the horror of the situation is clearly conveyed. As an adult reader I was gripped and I imagine younger readers will also be hooked.
