Told in full never-before-seen detail, this is the first complete illustrated history of Operation Overlord, the Allied invasion of France at Normandy.
Covering on-the-ground and behind-the-scenes accounts of both the attacking Allies and defending Axis, this offers a uniquely broad perspective on the Normandy landing and subsequent battles.
Capturing this tense build-up during training in England, through the aerial build-up, the drama of embarkation, night-drops, the beach landings, fierce fighting on the beaches to the breakout and race across France and Europe.
Moving between both Allied and Axis High Command and battlefield troops, this is a unique perspective on the Normandy landings, bound to be welcomed by any military buff, an enthralling, entertaining, valuable title.

Comments about Normandy:
A coffee table book, and a big one at that! Not a huge amount of text but lots of pictures, some of which I have not come across before.
