Comments about Merle's Kitchen:
I loved this book so much that I immediately purchased Merle's other book. It's back to basics, good old fashioned recipes and I love it. The only thing you need to watch is eg. I baked a slice that required 3 weetbix (or 2 cups).I used 3 weetbix and didn't check that it equalled 2 cups) No fault of the author. My god weetbix have shrunk and I didn't realise. The slice was still delicious though !!!!
Looking forward to the next book. My 2014 resolution is to do a Merle and Julie rendition of Julie and Julia movie and cook EVERYTHING in both books this year. Four recipes down and many to go.
Comments about Merle's Kitchen:
Let's face it, you don't always have the time or inclination to whip up an Adriano recipe. This is the best collection ever of basic cakes, slices and biscuits. Every recipe I have tried has worked and tasted great. I'll give Merle a gold star any day.
