The Macquarie Little Dictionary is now being updated annually! This new 2012 Edition not only contains content based upon the acclaimed Fifth Edition of the full Macquarie Dictionary but also even newer additional entries. This new 2012 Edition includes such up-to-date items as bariatrics, dragon's teeth, shockumentary, superfood and vuvuzela.
With over 30,000 definitions, it offers a completely up-to-date coverage of the core vocabulary of Australian English in a very handy format.
The Macquarie Little Dictionary 2012 Edition offers valuable usage notes on words which can cause problems for writers of Australian English. For example, there is a note pointing out the common confusion between allusion (a reference to something) and illusion (something that is not real). Notes also point out usage dilemmas, such as when a word is used humorously or offensively. For clarity and ease of access, these usage notes are highlighted with shading.
Appendixes listing prefixes and suffixes are a handy addition to an essential portable language resource, the Macquarie Little Dictionary 2012 Edition.

Comments about Macquarie Little Dictionary 2012:
I thought a dictionary just gave you definitions but the cross referencing and highlighted notes in this edition are invaluable. Easier and quicker for me than trying to find a spelling/definition on the internet that's not American. Handy, easy to find/store size as well!
