Comments about Lily and the Fairy House:

This beautiful story is about a young girl who discovers some fairies. I love the Australian bush depicted and my children love the amazing illustrations. None of my children read yet, but they love looking at this book either alone or with an adult.
A great gift for any child who has ever imagined there might be fairies at the bottom of the garden.

A lovely story that would be best suited to children over 4. I don't think it would grab the attention of readers younger than that

Comments about Lily and the Fairy House:

This beautiful book is one of my daughter's favorites. I live in the U.S., and I ordered it all the way from Australia because I thought it was so lovely. Both my 5 year old son and my 3 year old daughter want to read it every single night. I got it to read at her Fairy Birthday party, but I can see that it will be in our regular nightly reading for some time. The illustrations are heavenly. What a sweet, tender read for such precious little ears to hear and eyes engulf. I can only imagine what goes through her little mind as she looks on the pages. What a joy!

Bought for 4 year old grandaughter , we had to read it for all three nights we were there, she loved its simplicity and was drawn into the story.

Comments about Lily and the Fairy House:

The simple story and the striking, up close art-work appealed to my 4 and 6 year old girls. While the more realistic artistic style is not really my cup of tea (and I think the faces of Lily and the fairies look a bit weird), my girls did love it, and it is lovely see to see Australia flora and fauna for a change.

It's a little story, but magical because it is focussed on the small things that young children see. It is set in Lily's yard, and is a very accurate reflection of how my girls explore and search for fairies in their yard.
