Expected delivery times are displayed for each title in the database. Items in stock at our warehouse will generally be shipped the next business day after processing your order. We expect to receive stock from local suppliers within 10 days of ordering, stock levels permitting. Titles ordered from overseas suppliers can take up to 2 weeks, stock levels permitting. You must then take into account postage times once your items have left our warehouse, depending on your location and method of shipping. We will email you when your order is posted.
All prices are listed in Australian dollars.
All orders are subject to price and availability confirmation. If prices change, we will contact you prior to finalisation of your order.
The first time you visit the Booktopia Bookshop online and want to order a book, we create your Customer Account. You enter your personal information (name, address, phone, etc.) only once and then every time you return to the site to make a purchase, all you have to do is enter your email address and password. We retrieve all your personal information from our database. The system will remember multiple shipping locations if you use them over time. For security reasons, you must enter credit card information each time you visit.
Booktopia guarantees its shopping system to be secure and protected with encryption software.
Booktopia Bookshop Pty Ltd keeps all personal information submitted to us in the strictest confidence. The information is kept on a secure server and is only used to process orders from Booktopia Bookshop. This information will not be released to anyone other than necessary to fulfill your order. For your information Booktopia Bookshop Pty Ltd is a 100% subsidiary of Globalise Pty Ltd ABN 24 096 845 126 and the management team and staff of Globalise work in the Booktopia Bookshop business each day and have access to your information. Globalise started Booktopia and oversees all aspects of its operations and success. We will not rent or sell your personal information to any third party outside of the Globalise Pty Ltd and Booktopia Bookshop Pty Ltd businesses without your permission.
Once you have arrived at an item you wish to purchase just add it to your shopping cart. You can add as many items to the basket as you wish and if you want multiple copies of each then please update the basket with the number you want. When you are ready click to our Secure Checkout area. Delete any item you do not want and then proceed to register your details if you are a first time user or log in as an existing customer.
You can nominate different shipping addresses to your billing address. The system will remember all your shipping addresses you have used in the past.
You can pay by credit card, funds transfer, cheque or money order.
If you can pick up at our Artarmon Head Office then you can save on shipping and you will nominate that option in the Check Out area.
Availability of items is displayed on each item page. Please make sure to pay attention to this information.
Occasionally books appear on the Booktopia Bookshop site that are currently unavailable or out-of-print. We will endeavour to source a replacement or inform you of such an occurrence.
Postage costs within Australia is $6.50 for up to 100 items per order. You can nominate free pickup from our Artarmon Head Office in the checkout process. Overseas orders will be shipped by FedEx and you will be charged accordingly based on the number of items of your order and the location for it to be shipped to.
Booktopia Bookshop will accept returns of books with a delivery note, within 30 days of the shipping if you were sent the incorrect product. A full refund will apply including shipping. If you ordered an audio product or paperback or hardback or wrong language when the book clearly stated the item correctly then no refund is available. However, a credit note for future purchases can be arranged if the product is returned and is in resalable condition.
You have 48 hours to notify us from the time of receiving the goods that the item is damaged. You will be required to return the item as soon as possible and when that is done then a replacement product will be shipped to you. No refunds are available in this instance.
Booktopia Bookshop will accept general return of items only if they are returned in resalable condition. A credit note will be issued for you to use against your next purchase. Booktopia will not pay for postage and we must remind you that if you do not package the item correctly then it could result in arriving in a damaged state and no refund will be due.
Please return the item with a copy of your order or relevant personal details so we can attribute the return to you.
