This book features over 25 beautiful little bags that you can create using simple embroidery, knitting, beading and patchwork techniques.
A step-by-step techniques section and stitch library will help you to get a professional-looking finish every time.
The exciting projects make use of gorgeous fabrics, threads, ribbons, beads and yarns to produce stunning highly fashionable bags. The projects range from those that can be made extremely quickly - with a bag that can be made in an evening to accessorize an outfit; to more time-consuming knitted projects, using full-colour charts, templates and trace-offs, and easy-to-understand instructions. Sue Hawkins began her career working for an antique dealer, restoring 17th-century English embroidery. Her knowledge of the needlework business was gained while owning and running an embroidery shop for several years, and since 1991 she has run her own successful kit-manufacturing company, Needleworks. Sue also teaches embroidery workshops at her home and around the country. Many of her workshops are run on behalf of the Cross Stitch Guild, of which she is a technical director. Sue lives near Stroud, Gloucestershire, UK.
