Australia's favourite celebrity chef and host of My Kitchen Rules, Pete Evans, loves nothing more than to nourish his body with fresh, healthy food. Food that not only tastes delicious, but also leaves you feeling great by providing all of the most important nutrients and avoiding empty carbs and bad fats.

In Healthy Every Day, Pete shares all of his favourite recipes for good health and vitality. Inspired by a 'paleo' way of eating, these are the meals he cooks for his family every day, and they feature loads of fresh veggies, nuts and seeds, sustainable seafood and meat. There are no recipes for potato chips in here, but you will find one for crispy Kale Chips that will satisfy you and give you a hit of iron, calcium and antioxidants at the same time. And instead of the usual fatty and non-nutritious burger and fries, there's a Burger with the Lot that is full of flavour but won't leave you feeling bloated and sluggish. These recipes also draw on Pete's love of international cuisine, with inspiration from Thailand, Fiji, Turkey, Vietnam and Morocco.

He shows you how to make lighter, healthier, but just as tasty versions of your favourite curries, salads and skewers. Pete has also been inspired by the fermented food of Korea and Japan, and there is chapter that shows you how to create your own Kimchi and other delicious fermented dishes, like Summer Kraut with Pineapple and Mint. And while you won't find any sugar in this book, there are still some delicious gluten- and dairy-free treats, such as Young Coconut Ice Cream and Raspberry Mousse Cheesecake. With Healthy Every Day, Pete makes it easy to change the way you cook and eat.

This book will inspire you to cook and eat real food that will make you feel (and look!) fantastic.

This is for the passionate....those that really want to change lifestyle.
It is well written & easy to follow...however a lot of ingredients are necessary to have in your pantry...not for the one off meal or spontaneous evening. If I was a convert it would be great...

Who said good nutrition was boring? Pete Evans follows the Paleo diet but without adhering strictly to that regime any person can take all the best parts from the cookbook, add it to their diet and benefit from the nutritionally excellent recipes. Desserts come without the hangover of knowing they aren't good for you and main meals open your eyes to new ways to use everyday items.

Excellent cook book full of very exciting recipes and nutritional bits and pieces. Unusual to find so much coverage in the one recipe book, did not expect this much, found myself reading quickly to see what else he had included. Well done Pete!!

                    Pete Evans

Born in Melbourne, raised on the Gold Coast and currently resides in Sydney – certified true blue Aussie.

Passions include fresh food, surfing, fishing – and cooking and living with a fantastically feel-good healthy focus.

Restaurants have been a part of Pete’s life since the age of 19. He has opened seven in his time as a chef and restaurateur, including The Pantry, Hugo’s Manly and, his latest success, a contemporary tapas bar in Melbourne’s CBD, the unique Bar Nacional.

High-profile catering is another proud passion – from a royal banquet for the Prince and Princess of Denmark to a private dinner for Martha Stewart or a gala G’Day USA dinner for 600 in New York City, Pete loves making any event super special.

Cooking, food and lifestyle TV programs have been another of Pete’s highly successful pursuits. Starting out in 2001 as a co-presenter on the Lifestyle Channel’s Home show, his credits also include Postcards from Home, FISH, and co-host with Manu Feildel since 2009 of Channel 7’s hugely and internationally successful My Kitchen Rules. Pete’s latest TV series, Moveable Feast, showcases America’s finest artisans, producers and chefs and is currently screening in the US.

Cookbooks? Of course! Pete has published
seven of them, all internationally successful, and there’s an eighth on the way.

Speaking about healthy eating and wellness is another passion of Pete’s. One of Australia’s leading authorities on healthy cooking and lifestyle, he loves to share his knowledge and educate and motivate parents, children and corporate audiences. And they love him!

Supporting organisations in synch with his own values is another of Pete’s passions. He is involved with Regenesis Youth (a new organisation dedicated to empowering disengaged teenagers) and the Mindd Foundation (using integrative healthcare, including food as medicine, in the treatment of metabolic, immunologic, neurologic, digestive and developmental conditions that often affect the mind). Pete is also an ambassador of the Australian Organic Schools garden project.
