Annie Bell

Annie Bell began her career as a chef before becoming a full-time cookery writer and author. Her books include Annie's Vegetable Book and Evergreen, which was shorlisted for the Andre Simon and Glenfiddich Food Writing awards. More recently she has published Living and Eating, a lifestyle cookery book written with the architect John Pawson, and In My Kitchen.

Annie is also the author of Gorgeous Cakes, Gorgeous Desserts, Gorgeous Suppers and Gorgeous Greens, the first four instalments of the Gorgeous series.

She spent several years as a cookery writer for Vogue, then as a food writer in the Independent. She is currently principle cookery writer on the Mail on Sunday's YOU magazine, and is a contributor to Country Living magazine. She was winner of the Guild of Food Writers Journalist of the Year award in 2003.
