"Our modern world is drifting towards structures of glass and steel," declared Frank Lloyd Wright in 1930. By that time steel had provided the skeleton for remarkable high-rises in Chicago and Manhattan. Wright preferred to build with brick, wood, and concrete, but he did adore glass, whether long panes of perfectly rolled plate or innumerable small pieces of different colors worked into his distinctive art glass designs. Adaptations of twelve such designs are featured in this calendar.
