If you had the chance to be immortal would you take it?
As children, we rely on food, drink, shelter, and the kindness of others to survive. When we are older we are able to repay this kindness to others or society. Some choose to waste their energy by serving their own selfish needs. Others will use their energy in positive ways, sometimes at the cost of their own lives, to make the world a better place for humanity.
What becomes an important key is the use of storytelling to communicate ideas. A story can change behaviors and motivate people to do things they might not normally do. The impression stories make on humanity are incredibly powerful. Storytelling is powerful.
Powerful stories can become great written works. Storytellers have the ability and responsibility to raise standards when opportunities present themselves, to research topics carefully with a detailed eye, to separate the fact from fiction, and most importantly, to recognize past storyteller's failures so they are not retold. Our stories, in written form, have the power to change the world and last forever. Storytelling is eternal.
Original storytelling resides in creating characters who project empathy through persuasive catharsis. Storytellers recognize the plot as the soul of a written work across all genres. Storytelling has soul.
Stories passed on to our ancestors directly influenced what we were told and how we were raised. This has been ongoing since the oral traditions of the past to the information age of the present. Positive stories of change have brought people together, created nations, and continue to inspire humanity's evolution. Storytelling inspires.
We now have the power to describe our stories in as much detail as we deem necessary. Through technology we can spread our stories around the world in an instant. No longer are we bound by the country or language our words came from. There is no limit to how far an audience a story can reach. Storytelling has no boundaries.
Storytelling is powerful, eternal, soulful, inspirational and boundless. We will be storytellers until we can think, speak, and write no longer. Our words will resonate through the ages ahead. Immortality awaits those who tell their tales.
Everyone has a story to tell. There is no better time than now to tell it. Let your story be heard. Let this book be your guide.
