Comments about Gettysburg (1993) (2 Disc):
No finer portrayal of the American Civil War exists in film. Settings, characters, and episodes involved in this tragic conflict are superb. The standpoint is even-handed. Both Jeff Daniels and Sam Elliot stand out as leaders who made the Union proud, while Tom Berenger and Martin Sheen display the tenacity of the Confederacy. The re-enactment of the battle of Little Big Top is a classic. I count myself fortunate to have this superb DVD in my collection.
