Comments about Charade:
Usually considered the only Hitchcock film not directed by him, this is a classic "who dunnit?" which maintains tension, comedy and mystery throughout.
The supporting villains Walter Mathau, James Coburn, Ned Glass and George Kennedy are excellent. This was a box office hit but was also well received by the critics. Hepburn and Grant both nominated for Best Actors in Musical/Comedy and Hepburn was awarded a BAFTA.
Because of the release in December 1963 a reference to "assassination" was changed to "killed".
This was one of Grant's last films and because of the age difference he had the script rewritten so that Reggie [AH] was seen to pursue his Adam not vice versa. The scene with Adam in the shower in his suit is quite a giggle now. Other than that the film travels very well.
Oh and don't get confused Grant's character changes names four times...
