A 36-year-old psychologist specialising in visual perception comes to Sydney to give a series of lectures and meets up with Dr Jeremy Quinn, an ex-lover whom she hasn't seen for years. After a few glasses of champagne in his luxurious hotel penthouse, he presents her with an intriguing offer: stay with him for the next 48 hours and accept two extraordinary conditions.
She knows he will challenge her every inhibition, but she soon finds herself seduced into a level of surrender - and danger - she could never have imagined .
Destined to Play is the first book in the Avalon trilogy exploring the intricate relationships between trust and betrayal, desire and love, risk ...and reward.
If you liked Fifty Shades of Grey, you will love Destined to Play.
About the Author
Indigo Bloome is married with two children. She has lived and worked in Sydney and the United Kingdom, with a successful career in the finance industry. Indigo recently traded city life with a move to regional Australia, which provided her with an opportunity to explore her previously undiscovered creative side. Her love of reading, deciphering dreams, stimulating conversation and the intrigue of the human mind led her to writing her first novel, DESTINED TO PLAY.

I really thought this was great! A well written intriguing story with enough research to make it believable. She brings fantasies to life in a stimulating manner...even touches on the unexpected and quite daring, but leaves the filth out of it. Well done, an enjoyable read. Can't wait for the next in the series!

Touted for those who loved Fifty Shades of Grey, I thought perhaps this book may be similar but with a bit of substance. How wrong I was.
The characters were poorly developed, not engaging and frankly not very likable. I felt like I didn't really get to know them at all. The love story and shared history of these characters was almost a by-line. The only thing I can say for this book in reference to it being for those who loved FSOG is that it is slightly better written and the author has a larger vocabulary.
I quite obviously did not enjoy this book and will certainly not recommend it.

Comments about Destined to Play:
Was drawn to Destined To Play having read the 50 shades trilogy as well as Bared To You by Sylvia Day (which incidentally is a far superior read to either of the aforementioned!) - was keen to see what this had to offer.... esp being an Australian author.
Seemed to start off okay, but as the book progressed I tired of the blind fold theme - I was just longing for her to rip that bloody thing off and for her to assert herself!!!
However, in saying that - I have ordered the second book - just to see if things improve... but my expectations will be somewhat lower this time.

The characters were unlikeable, the plot ridiculous, the sex scenes more strange than sensual. I found it very difficult to like anything about this book.
