Comments about Dark Taste of Rapture:
I really liked this book, Gena Showalter is a fantastic story teller who draws the reader into the story, as proof I have all her books. I know I'm a geek!
So far in this series Noelle is my favourite heroine, she spunky, funny, spoilt (grew up rich) and yet doesn't think she good enough for anyone.
Hector is a great hero to Noelle's heroine, he's dark, possessive, unspoilt (grew up poor) and doesn't care whether he's good enough for anyone or what anyone thinks of him.
In this book you go back in time to when Ava and Noelle start at the AIR taining camp and then jump forward to after they have graduated and are now agents. Gena is able to masterfully craft the story so that you don't get the sudden jump you get in some books that can give you whip lash, and you are left thinking "what just happened". Instead the story flows smoothly and effortlessly, allowing you to enjoy the story and characters.
If there is one thing that got one my nerve it was when Hector (not an actual quote) "We can't have sex or I might accidently kill you" to Noelle (however, that is my POV)
Apart from that it's a great story, fantastic characters (previous charcters popped up - yah) and I would recommend this book.
