This book is just so beautiful. It's lovely to hold (hardback), it smells nice, oh yes..it's FULL of Pip's chatty and inspirational words and recipes. It's the sort of book you want to buy your bestie who loves to make craft... Which is what I just DID. It's fresh and cheery and just full of sunshine. Give it a try. You might like it too.

"Crafting along with Pip Lincolne is like hanging out with your best friend and stitching something cute while knocking back a nice cuppa and a bikkie." Jo Walker Editor, Frankie Magazine

                      Foreword by Clare Bowditch

                      Pip and I met online.

I was on tour, missing home, and sitting on the bed in the hotel room looking point-blank at some of the most challenging 'non-original hotel artwork' I'd ever encountered. I'd been reading Pip's blog at the airport that morning and for some reason, on a whim, I decided to share a photo of my #badhotelart with her. We'd never actually met, but her blog was so friendly I felt like I knew her, and for some reason I just figured she'd 'get it'.

When she wrote back with her own picture of #badhotelart I was so delighted that I too replied and then she replied again, and before long a beautiful friendship blossomed.

Every time Pip comes to my house, every interaction I've ever witnessed her having with another human being; these things make her absolutely and perfectly qualified to write a book ON CREATIVITY AND HAPPINESS, because this is what she builds with us, her friends.

The book you're about to read has a lovely cover and a welcoming title, but the truth is it's a wild beast of a thing, this story of CREATIVITY, SIMPLE PLEASURES AND FRIENDLINESS. It's a story of how to cultivate THESE THINGS, and how a little bit of kindness can change the world for the better.

And in a way, it makes Pip Lincolne a little bit of a radical, or so I recently concluded after receiving this precious letter from my friend in the Middle East:

I reckon being friendly is almost political. Choosing to be friendly despite the fact that many people are damaged and would rather force their arsehole-ness on the planet is courageous. Friendly is the world I'd rather live in.

                      Me too.

Thank you, Pip, for once again illuminating the way for us, and for reminding us of all the little things that make up the kind of world we'd rather live in.
