This book was initially used to refresh my CNNA knowledge. But i was surprised in how much i can learn in so little time.

Before i continue i need to tell you that i purchased second hand cisco equipment to supplement my learning with this book. With that being said if you follow the Author instructions you will learn and learn a great deal in short amount of time.

The way he simplifies subnetting is amazing and incredibly easy once broken down. And each modules clearly and concisely explains the importance and how-to of network configurations. Now i had no intention of doing the CCNA exam after 60 days due to the fact that 60 days in not enough time to learn in-depth (this is my opinion) however i can safely tell you that you would have become competent in entry level networking. The author says following this guide will help you pass this exam, but since i didn't follow his guide, it would be unfair/misleading to comment on this matter - so i wont.

My only grip is that Cisco has revised the current exam structure so some parts of this book my have become obsolete due to the revision, but from a historical perspective you may need to know the content of this book.

Bottom Line: For those who lack motivation cannot plan or don't know where to begin. This book is DEFINITELY for you guys. The day by day tasks will set you on the right path in understanding networks and ultimately passing you CCNA certifications. With the right frame of mind and focus and determination you'll be able to understand concepts previously not known.
