About the Author
Allison Brennan is a former consultant in the California State
legislature, who now has fourteen bestselling novels under her belt.
She lives in Northern California with her husband Dan and their five
children. Crime fiction, mysteries and romantic suspense have always
been Allison's favourites, so it's no surprise that her romantic
thrillers, such as Killing Fear, Playing Dead and Tempting Evil, have a
dark suspense edge. But crime fiction is not Allison's only interest.
Growing up, she immersed herself in the more supernatural worlds of

popped into my head when I pictured a teenager running terrified
through the woods. Over the next few years I layered on additional
