A few other books have been written on the subject of Brisbane's Maximum Security Prison or its favoured name, Boggo Road Prison, but none have been at ground level for the reader to gain the understanding of life inside the walls for Prison Officers.
These men were tagged with many nick names over the years, such as Screws, Turn Keys, Guard and Boss, all of which described us in various eras over the centuries.
This book is based on my reflections of events as they happened or were recorded; I have endeavoured to be as accurate as possible through the following journals and correspondence.

This has officially become the worst book I have ever read. I'm not even sure it could be called a book, it is more a random collection of sentences mostly venting the authors spleen at management in the Queensland Correctional system.
It was my understanding that I would be purchasing a book which would be about the history of Boggo Road Prison along with anecdotes. This was not what I received. It is truly appalling, rarely made sense and really is the worst book I have ever read. The only good thing was that I bought it on sale so at least I only wasted 2 or 3 dollars.

I work in the industry, so I took my book to work to read. Some of my fellow work members asked me where I got it and I told them. So they wanted a copy, I got online an ordered a few more. I found this relevant, and have even got some referances to some of my other work mates. Found it good to read and informative to how things worked back then, so differant to how we do it now. Some very funny stories were told tht really made it an interesting read.
