Comments about DK Eyewitness Travel Guide : Back Roads Italy:
If your going to do a driving tour of Italy, this book is perfect. It highlights 3 to 5 day circuits of different parts of Italy that take you along scenic backroads and gorgeous villages. Avoid the motorways and see the real Italy. The book is just tge right size for travellers plus has a decent sized detachable map in the back. Lots of pictures, site descriptions, hotel recommendations and restaurants. But best is the mapped routes timed at a slow interesting pace. I'm using it as I type and I'm referring to it everyday.
