Comments about Autobiography of a Yogi:

A fascinating journey into "paranormal" realms with an affable yogi as a tour guide, this is the story of a disallusioned Calcutta schoolboy who, after his mother's sudden death, embarks on a life-long quest to find meaning in life. The "detective of divinity" travels as far as Germany to meet Catholic stigmatist Therese Neumann, and candidly investigates swamis of various spiritual stature within India. Dispatched to America during the Roaring Twenties by his line of swamis to introduce the "science of religion" to sceptical westerners, Yogananda spoke to capacity crowds at Carnegie Hall (Celebrity fans have included Elvis, Ravi Shanka, and George Harrison. Humour nad Humanity without humbug. Loved it!

When people need 'regrooving, ' I say read this, because it cuts to the heart of every religion." -- George Harrison "Interviewed in "'Glimpses of a Life Divine" by Self-Realization Fellowship"
