Comments about Are You My Mother?:

I ordered this book for my son to use it for speech therapy sessions & repetitive phrases. Nowhere in the description was there an indication that this was not the full version of this book & is in fact a very short version of this classic. It would be helpful if this was included in the description as I would not have ordered this book had I known & would have made sure I ordered the full version which is what I need.

Comments about Are You My Mother?:

I was bitterly disappointed that this edition varied in content from the one which was my favourite book as a child in the late 60's/early 70's.

Comments about Are You My Mother?:

My 2yo grandson is a boisterous, rough and busy little person, who rarely sits still.
The first time I tried to read the story to him I was holding the pages open while he was struggling to turn to the next page, fortunately the board book format was tough enough to withstand the massive struggle taking place and we got to the end.
Now I just need to say "A mother bird sat on her egg, the egg jumped" and he's looking round for the book, it has been a wonderful "diffuse" technique when he needs distracting from something else.
The concepts in the story, a missing mother, a cat a dog and a cow also a scary thing are all understood by very young children. This one has been a favorite from way back to my own children's story time.
