The new Reacher thriller, which takes place shortly after the end of Worth Dying For.
Nebraska - and Jack Reacher, huge, hulking and with a freshly busted nose, is still trying to hitch a ride east to Virginia. He's picked up by three strangers - two men and a woman.
Immediately he knows they're all lying about something - and then they run into a police roadblock on the highway. But they get through. Because the three are innocent? Or because the three are now four?
Is Reacher a decoy?

Never Disappoining!
We all know the disappointment of bureaucratic red tape; news reports show us that justice and the law have little in common in 2012, and smart lawyers can keep villians out of jail!
We all know the disappointment of bureaucratic red tape; news reports show us that justice and the law have little in common in 2012, and smart lawyers can keep villians out of jail!
Enter Jack Reacher, and he rights all : usually reluctantly drawn into situations of injustice, he fights for what is right, exacts fitting retribution and moves on. The plots are varied, his solutions unique to the situation, and the action believable and so we keep turning page after page, not wanting the tale to end.
The amazing thing is that he does all this with just a toothbrush and wallet in his pocket! Talk about resourceful! How we wish!
I have read every Lee Child novel, and they are never repetitious and they never disappoint. This one is no exception.
I was a little alarmed to see his photo showing Lee Child had aged since last I looked.. just get back to the wordprocessor Lee because time is passing! Jack still has to make it to Virginia, remember?

Comments about A Wanted Man:
If you love Lee Child's Jack Reacher, you'll love this. Doesn't really break new ground, but then it doesn't need to. Love this series - can't wait for the next one.
Service and delivery comments:
Love Booktopia's service. Delivery is always quick and reliable. Their range of books is great and they'll got the extra mile to try to get something a bit obscure. And all without having to leave home!

Comments about A Wanted Man:
This book arrived on my doorstep from the lovely people at Booktopia, just in time for me to read over the weekend. Unfortunately last weekend also coincided with the arrival of my son, stork was early, so my reading was interrupted. Normally a Reacher adventure can't be put down, but my new bub showed that sometimes you have to.
Reviewing Lee's new novel is hard, my interrupted reading, sleep deprivation and cuddle time has clouded my impression of the book. Reacher still kicked butt, the story was decent and Lee's characteristic tight plotting was on display.
I'm only giving this 4 stars for now, with the intention of re-reading it sometime after I've had a decent nights sleep.

Comments about A Wanted Man:
Even better than Reacher normally is. More convoluted plot, and a few unexpected twists made this even better than the usual Jack reacher fare.
